Day 14 – Cascais

After Peniche, we sailed to Lisbon and stayed in the port of Cascais, which is a little more fancy town. We were eating at a vegetarian/vegan restaurant with really good food! Check out House of Wonders, a great and cool restaurant full of colors.

Day 15 – Lisbon

The next day we explored Lisbon. We took the train and strolled around the town. We tried Portugal’s special bakery Nata and had Sangria, beer and coffee at various places along the way. Lisbon was really cool with many nice houses in tiles in different patterns. Filip had some old classmates who lived in town so we met them at their awesome apartment right in the city centre. They took us to a great taco restaurant – Pistols y Corazon, and to very cheap bars. When we got back to the harbor we were invited to the neighboring boat Dies Natalis, where we also met Aloha Sailing. Check them out and follow their around-the-world sailing trip! Even the Swedish boats Hilma Sailing and Knot Vikings stayed in the same port. It was a nice evening with many sailing stories to share!
